And they lived happily ever after…
Naomi and Jordan exchanged their vows beneath a naked tipi draped in greenery, overlooking the stunning hills of a gorgeous Mt Nathan property. Throughout the afternoon, and into the night, these fun-loving adventurers danced and feasted with their family and friends beneath 3 Kata Tipis, lit up with fairy and festoon lights.
Naomi and Jordan built their wedding from the ground up, sourcing an eclectic collection of furniture and decorations from across the coast, creating a one-of-a-kind event, and showing how truly magical a DIY tipi wedding can be.
What made you choose tipis for your wedding? We adore the tipis! We love the look, style, grandness and beauty of them! We loved the idea of feasting and dancing underneath them with our loved ones and creating an atmosphere that was unique to us. We both love adventuring and these were an extension of that.
What advice do you have for people who are planning a tipi wedding? Get a wedding coordinator! I didn’t, and it meant on the morning of our wedding my beautiful husband had to rush around and meet with vendors and set up catering tents… trust me, just get one!
Which styling tips are a must for our tipis? The lighting package that Gold Coast Tipis offer is a must, and lots of greenery- it’s beautiful and it’s magical amongst the fairy lights! Weather permitting, have your dance floor under the stars, it is truly the best!
Please describe your overall experience with having your reception beneath a tipi? I would have a tipi wedding again in a heartbeat! We had a feast style, so it just felt like a big family dinner, and the tipis made it feel like magic under there. Hannah was a dream to deal with in the lead up to our wedding, and was really helpful with ideas and tips.
