The Fringe Festival is an amazing addition to the Swell program that offers a more intimate, immersive space for artistic performances and activities. Our Tipi village, set up right opposite the beach, serves as a gathering place for artists and festival-goers to enjoy a range of exciting performances, workshops, and cultural experiences. From live music and dance to thought-provoking theatre and interactive storytelling, the Tipis will create a unique space for creative exchange, collaboration, and celebration. As creative partners, we are proud to support this part of the festival, helping to bring even more diversity and engagement to the Swell experience. We believe that the Tipis, with their rustic bohemian charm, provide a perfect contrast to the expansive open-air sculptures along the beach. This fusion of art forms – large sculptures and intimate performances – creates a holistic, dynamic cultural experience that is sure to captivate attendees of all ages.

Currumbin Beach is a perfect location for the Swell Sculpture Festival, offering not only stunning natural beauty but also a laid-back, community-focused atmosphere. The beach’s lush surrounds and pristine waters provide an ideal canvas for artists to showcase their work, while the festival itself fosters a sense of community, inclusivity, and creativity. As locals ourselves, we understand the importance of supporting our region’s cultural landscape. By being involved with Swell, we are able to help cultivate this sense of community and encourage others to experience the transformative power of art.
