Originating from Sweden, and inspired by the Sami tribes, our teepee marquees are made from a sustainable nordic pine, and a durable waterproof canvas, which when all erected, can handle extreme weather conditions. Their unique design allows us to lift the sides in the warmer months offering 360 degree views of the gorgeous scenery, or we can leave the sides down during Winter to create a more traditional tipi experience.
Our kata tipis can be linked to provide scope for groups of all sizes. A triple kata will seat 200 guests for dinner with bar and dance floor. Add our kung tipi to this configuration and you have a separate bar & dance floor, creating even more space for up to 300 guests within the katas. The options for design and styling are endless.
Our kata is the ultimate in flexibility. Can be used with sides down in a traditional tipi shape, or with sides raised to create a giant witch's hat. Join multiple katas for larger events; the possibilities are almost limitless.

Our kung is traditional in shape and function. A roll up canvas panel creates the entrance but all walls remain firmly down. Can be linked to the kata and works well as a bar area, dance floor or lounge area.

When we link the 2 x kåta’s together, the space is perfect if you are wanting to have a seated meal, and also a dance floor and band undercover.
If your guest list is over 150, we strongly recommend the 3 x kåta’s linked together, the space you have to work with is majestic, and the styling options are absolutely endless.
Our kung tipi is more of a traditional style. It can be linked to a kata tipi, or stand alone, providing a perfect lounge bar area, or band and dance floor. Only the front part of the kung tipi can be open.
When we link the medium kung tipi to our large kata, this provides extra space for your guests to mingle, whether it be a lounge and bar area, or a fun space for the kids.
Our canopy tipi will provide the perfect place for a bar and lounge area at any size event. Also compact enough for the casual backyard barbeque. Available - 1 x tan canopy, 1 x off-white canopy
With cover removed, our largest naked kata provides plenty of space for casual lounge furnishings, a bar & bar tables, or alfresco open air dining.
Remove it's cover and our kung becomes a naked tipi. A stunning structure to decorate and furnish for cocktails, baby or bridal shower, intimate party or photo shoot.
Perfect as a ceremony arch, or feature area for your gift table or cake to sit under. Wrap with fairy lights and it makes a beautiful arch for our couples to have their first dance beneath. 5m bamboo poles.
If you need some extra covered space and don't want to go to the expense of another tipi, consider our canvas marquee. Makes the perfect lounge or bar area. Or you could hire a baby sitter & some games, and set this up the kids play zone! This marquee works well beside our white kata and/or white canopy tipis.

how big are the tipis?
With the sides down, one kata tipi is approximately 80sqm, which allows for around 70 seated guests and up to 90 standing guests, taking into account having a bridal table or bar inside as well. Once we link the tipis together, creating a larger entertaining space, you can add more people, and more features such as a dance floor, and lounge area too. When the weather is great, we can raise the tipi sides, and this again can create a wonderful opportunity for inside and outside styling options.
are the tipis weatherproof?
Yes, we are pleased to confirm they are! Our tipis are custom made using traditional methods with modern day materials, giving them a very sturdy frame and waterproof covering. We can assure you that your guests will remain cosy and dry in the event of a storm, unless the grounds are prone to flooding, which would unfortunately allow the rain to come in from underneath. Please keep this in mind when choosing a patch of land to create your event. We watch the weather very carefully, and will do the absolute best we can in ensuring an incident-free occasion . The tipis can also handle up to 50knot winds, so unless there is a cyclone about to hit, your event will still go ahead as planned.
what is the rental period?
The standard hire duration is for 2 nights. For example, if your event is on a Saturday, we will usually set the tipis up on the Friday, and pack down on the Sunday. Occasionally these days will change depending on other events we have on during the same week. We confirm the ‘bump in’ times one week prior to your event.
do you travel outside of the Gold coast?
We are based in Currumbin Waters on the Gold Coast, and service the Gold Coast, Tweed Coast and surrounds. We don't travel too far afield as we like to ensure we are available during your event should the need arise. Delivery fees may apply.
do we need security at our event?
Yes, there needs to be responsible people with the tipis throughout the entire hire duration. If your event is on a Private Property, generally speaking you will not require a Security Guard, however if your event is on open/public land, you will definitely need to hire security to watch over the tipis and other styling items for the hire period.
what time of year best suits a tipi event?
With their unique design, our tipis are suitable for all year round. During Summer we can raise all of the sides, creating a wonderful ‘al fresco’ venue and 360 degree views, or in Winter we simply leave most of the sides down and light the fireplace, which creates an authentic and cosy atmosphere. Wedding season’s are usually Autumn and Spring, however Winter is also a great time to tie the knot with the clear days and usually less rainfall.
do you have a preferred venue?
We have an amazing list of stunning venues which we recommend throughout South-East QLD and Northern NSW. There is an option for all budgets and styles of event.
where can you set up the tipis?
The preferred option here is a well manicured, grassed area. We can also set up on sand, however this needs to be advised at time of booking so we can bring the required hardware for this.
do you offer furniture hire?
We do offer a simple range of timber furnishings, however as we are passionate about creating truly unique events, we love nothing more than working with local hire company’s who are always on trend and trying new concepts with their hire range. We do not want each of our weddings to be a carbon copy of each other, which is why we have chosen not to include an extensive hire range to our business, and we encourage you to work with a furniture hire company who resonates with your theming and personal style. We are surrounded by extremely talented Stylist’s and we work very closely with them in the design and build of your event. If you would like a recommendation, please let us know. South-east QLD has a plethora of international cuisine and dining options, and has some seriously impressive caterers offering their services to you. We can suggest a diverse mix of options for you from Cocktail Food, Fine Dining, Grazing Platters, Food Trucks and Mobile Bars, you will be spoilt for choice.
